CX End-of-Seaon Wrap Up

The combination of racing, traveling, training and trying to move into a new house while remodeling it has put a damper on my already admittedly crappy race updates and blogs. Sorry to anyone who actually reads these to find out what happened in the races. I tried to write more detailed reports but deleted them because they were boring, and honestly who really cares what happened last month (or last week!). So here’s the best I could come up with.

National Championships. Blah blah blah, icy ruts. Blah blah mud. Blah blah blah couldn’t get out of my own way. Blah blah, rode terribly for 3/4 of the race. Blah blah blah disappointing. Blah frustrating. Barely on the podium- 4th place.

Waldek to me post-race: "It's OK, I won't fire you for one bad race."

Cincinnati Kings ‘Cross. Blah blah blah. One week before Worlds. Great spectators. Bad start. Blah blah riding around by myself the whole time. Blah blah blah 2nd place.

World Championships. Amazing turnout. Spectacular crowd. Immense crowd support. Stuck in crash 30 seconds into race. Race effectively over. Blah blah annoyed. Blah blah blah chasing, blah blah blah blah. Finished 17th. Blah frustrating, blah blah disappointing.

Go USA!

Go USA!

Hey guys! Let's all crash and give everyone else a huge head start!

Then I was angry.
