Austria

I’m back in Europe for the last World Cup of the season in Schladming, Austria. The course is pretty typical European World Cup- straight up, straight down but less technical than usual (of course now I probably jinxed myself and we are going to be slogging through a ton of mud or something…). It is supposed to rain, but it has been raining every day since we got here, and the course is still in great shape with only one bit of the climb that is too muddy to ride. In any case, it’s a far cry from Brian Head (no 20 minute downhills here, but also no 20 minute climbs). The course goes right through the town, and we even we get to ride through the brewery’s warehouse. We are set to do 6 laps of the course tomorrow morning at 10. I can’t believe it’s the last mountain bike race of the season- I better make it a good one!
