Tandoori Chicken on the Grill

You can probably get away with marinating for a shorter time, but this sure was good (just don’t tell Dusty that I put cumin in it…):

Marinade

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp plus 2 tsp fresh minced or grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp plus 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1.5 tsp ground turmeric
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne
  • 3 chicken breasts/legs
  1. toss chicken in a bowl with marinade
  2. refrigerate overnight
  3. grill

Now that I am thinking about it, this would probably be great with lamb too.
